About me and my practice
Are you navigating the challenges of life, feeling overwhelmed, or struggling with mental health issues? I'm here to support you. As a qualified Counselling Psychologist from India and an accredited BACP psychotherapist in the UK, with over 17 years of experience, I specialise in working with children, adolescents, and immigrants/ expats.
My journey in the field of mental health has taken me across educational sectors in India and through invaluable experience within the UK's National Health Service (NHS), particularly in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS). As part of the DBT team in the Herefordshire and Worcestershire NHS trust, I've conducted individual and group therapy, empowering young adolescents and parents with healthy coping strategies and emotional regulation techniques.
I understand the complexities of immigrant life firsthand, having lived abroad for 8 years in the UK. The emotional and mental toll of leaving one's home country can be overwhelming. If you're an immigrant or expat still adjusting to a new place, new country, and new people, I empathise with your journey. Having started afresh in the UK myself 8 years ago, I've experienced the challenges of feeling lonely and depressed in a new environment.

Qualifications
I am Counselling Psychologist from India and an accredited BACP psychotherapist in the UK with 17 years of experience. Specializing in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), I offer evidence-based interventions for children, adolescents, and adults. From my roles in the NHS to online counselling and school settings, I am dedicated to holistic care and reducing mental health stigma. My education includes a Post Graduate Diploma and Masters in Counselling Psychology. I have also completed various trainings including Trauma-Focused CBT and DBT. My goal is to continue expanding my expertise in mental health and serving diverse populations while ensuring GDPR compliance and ethical practice. I provide therapy in four languages-Hindi, English, Marathi, Bengali, and Urdu. See you soon in our session.

Initial Consultation
Welcome to your first session, where we embark on a journey towards healing and growth together. I understand that first sessions and online sessions can be overwhelming; but I am here to support you and make you feel comfortable.
Our session begins with a simple yet profound intention: to get to know you better. Your story matters, and I'm here to listen with empathy and understanding. Through our conversation, we'll explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences, creating a safe and trusting environment where you can freely express yourself.Our first session will includes a comprehensive mental health and risk assessment. This assessment allows me to gather valuable information about your concerns, providing a deeper understanding of the right therapeutic approach to suit your needs. If there are any moderate to severe risks that I won't be able to manage independently, I will explain that clearly to you and refer you to the relevant professionals.
Fees
Initial Assessment Session (90 minutes): £140
This first session is an essential introduction where we have the opportunity to get acquainted. During this time, we'll delve into your mental health concerns, allowing me to gain a deeper understanding of your needs. You'll also have a chance to share your thoughts about the therapy process, and together, we'll outline your therapy goals and create a personalized treatment plan.
Individual Therapy Session (50 minutes): £90
Individual therapy sessions are dedicated to your personal growth and well-being. We utilize various therapeutic models, skills, and techniques tailored to your specific requirements, working collaboratively to achieve your desired goals.
Payments by Bank transfer only.
